The route starts from Flachau Center, passing by the church of Flachau and following the bike path southward. After an warm-up phase on the valley floor, the first challenging ascent begins after approximately 1.3 km, climbing a forest road (about 600 meters) up to the Sattelweg. Follow this path 200 meters downhill to the intersection with the "Path of Good Wishes." Turn right and follow the "Path of Good Wishes," first climbing steeply before the incline eases after about 300 meters, allowing you to run along the high-altitude trail. Here, you’ll have a beautiful view of the Ennstal valley and the surrounding mountains.
After about 2 km, turn right into a small forest area from the forest road before the view opens up again. After another 500 meters, the "Path of Good Wishes" veers right, leading to a fairly steep ascent of about 200 meters. After this, turn right and continue along a relatively flat path. After another 300 meters, turn left onto the forest path toward Sattelbauer.
You will now encounter a very varied forest section of about 1 km, which leads you to a clearing at Sattelbauer after a small right turn (don't miss it), where the Hubertuskapelle is located. From there, it's only 200 meters across a meadow to the Berggasthof Sattelbauer. Here, you have the opportunity to take a short break and recharge befor heading back down into the valley.
From this point, it’s all downhill. Follow the signs for the "Path of Good Wishes" for about 3 km back to the starting point at Flachau Center.
