Die Wanderung beginnt nach der Auffahrt mit den Bergbahnen Starjet 1+2 (Sommerbetriebszeiten beachten) etwas oberhalb vom Berggasthof Latschenhof über den Wanderweg 41. Weiter bis zu den Kriegergedenkkreuzen und dem Grat entlang auf Grießenkareck (1991 m). Für die letzten 15 Minuten vor dem Gipfel ist Trittsicherheit und Schwindelfreiheit gefordert.
Alternative: Von Flachau Zentrum über den Wanderweg Nr. 42 ziemlich steil bergauf bis zur Mittelstation Starjet. Ab hier geht es mäßig steil weiter über den neu angelegten Wanderweg Nr. 41 bis zu den Grießenkaralmen.

Flachau centre - valley station Starjet 1 - ascent with the chairlifts starjet 1+2 to the Berggasthof Latschenhof - above the Berggasthof turn into the hiking trail no. 41 - past the war memorial crosses along the Grießenkareck (1991 m) - then turn right at the fork path no. 45A - after a few minutes walk another fork, turn left here - further to the mountain station Starjet 2

o First aid kit
