CubaBoarisch 2.0: A Musical Bridge Between Cuba and Bavaria
CubaBoarisch 2.0 has set a new standard: The musical exchange between Cuba and Bavaria has become an integral part of festivals. Whether it's salsa, son, or landler, the band has it in their blood - lively Cuban rhythms as well as the earthy Bavarian ones. It's no wonder, as two powerhouses lead the lively band: Cuban-born full-blooded musician and singer Yinet Rojas Cardona and the Chiemgau original Leo Meixner.
Yinet is a true Guantanamera - born in Guantanamo and long-time resident of Havana, the Cuban capital. Hence, it's no surprise that the Cubaboarisch's new tour hit is named "Havanna Viva!" - as Yinet's homage to her hometown, brimming with music and energy. Yinet effortlessly blends elements of Havana's current Latin-pop scene with her virtuoso guitar playing and extraordinary voice. Leo adds his Styrian accordion to the mix, singing and playing from the heart of his homeland, Upper Bavaria. Together with the incredible band, this creates an astonishing variety of sounds and a groove that gets you moving.
The Guantanamera and the Chiemgau mix their musical cocktail of Cuban rum, global pop, and local Bavarian folk effortlessly. There's only one thing to do: Salud y baila! A prosit and let's dance!
